Joan Crawford from the film 'Strait jacket' - Framed Print
£100.00 GBP
Hollywood star, Joan Crawford is still one of my favourite people to draw - there are now three portraits available. This is inspired by one of her most iconic films “Strait Jacket. It is a real gift to illustrate!
Her fiery temper, sexuality and severe and uncompromising personality makes her a long standing Icon in gay culture. With classic films such as Mildred Pierce and later What Ever Happened To Baby Jane, with Bette Davis, her place in film history was cast.
The biopic Mommie Dearest is a biographic psychological drama based on an exposé, written by Joan's daughter Cristina. It portrayed her as a real life camp comedy villain, complete with phases like "No more hangers!".
