Bette Davis is one of Hollywood's greatest actors, well known for being a perfectionist, often demanding the same level of professionalism from her co-stars and even film directors.  Her out spoken personality, razor sharp wit and distinctive voice made her an icon.  

Jim Emerson wrote about Bette's huge gay following: "Was she just a camp figurehead because her brittle, melodramatic style of acting hadn't aged well? Or was it that she was 'Larger Than Life', a tough broad who had survived? Probably some of both."

Whatever the reason, she will always be one of my heroes!  I had made several portraits of her and always want to do more.
