Nigella Lawson is a national treasure and camp icon responsible for making food sexiest thing on TV.  She is however far from just a buxom celebrity chef flirtatiously licking cake batter off a wooden spoon.  Her joyful wordplay parodies her own image.  Alliterative delights like "gorgeous golden globules" titivate and delight, as well as her famous pronunciation of "microwavé". 

For me her energy and aesthetic seems heavily influenced by Marilyn Monroe.  My illustration of Nigella is based on a photograph of Marilyn wearing a lace dress and fur shawl.
